  • Awesome Music: Let's get it. One of those songs that can downloaded with certain Webkinz, 'Caramel Soup', manages to be a nice pop song to listen to.
    • 'I Wanna Run' is also a kickass rock song.
  • Cash Cow Franchise: Many believe that everything was better back in the days where you only had to have a Webkinz, and you could do anything on the site, as opposed to paying extra just to get everything.
    • A lot have also protested 'e-points', the main complaint being that, again, you're just paying more for unnecessary things.
  • Dork Age: Many fans in the Periphery Demographic believe this started around 2010-11, and it is still continuing.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The 'Don't Rock the Boat' game. It's a complete Luck-Based Mission; if the RNG rolls good, you get a free item. If you lose, a ghost comes out of nowhere and starts moaning and shaking its hands for a good few seconds. The Jump Scare nature of the ghost, along with the creepy noise it makes, made many kids avoid rocking the boat.

  • Periphery Demographic: A lot of the current fanbase started adopting pets as children, and continued it into teenagerhood. Parents have also taken to the game as well.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The little spiels that various NPCs give you when you enter their shops can get a bit annoying after a while.
    • An update (see They Changed It, Now It Sucks! below) made it so your pets will continuously request that you do things, and if you don't, they make you feel guilty.
    • The Wish Machine. Every day, you can wish for a certain rare item. The problem is that only about one wished item comes true across all of Webkinz. And if you forget to make a wish, you're guaranteed to get nothing. 99% of players who use the Wish Machine will never get their wishes granted. Thankfully, you can use Wish Tokens to guarantee that you get one of the Wish Machine items, but the cooler and bigger items cost more tokens. Wish Tokens are pretty rare as well, so it'll take you months to save up for that one you really want.

  • Tastes Like Diabetes: Well, look at the artwork and watch how fast it takes for you to utter the word 'd'awwww'.
  • That One Sidequest: The Crown of Wonder. Despite being simple enough, even players from 2006 might still have trouble. You must go gem mining at the Curio Shop. If you get all the gems in your collection, you can trade for the Crown of Wonder. Sounds simple, huh? Well, there's a few problems. First off, you only get to do it once a day. With 6 gems per color, and 5 colors of gems in the collection, this can take 30 days at the 'least', assuming you don't get unlucky and get the same gem. But that's not all, slag can appear. If you get slag, you miss a shot. You only get 3 chances to mine a gem per day, so if you get 3 slags, you must wait another day, and get no gem. To boot, gems only show up in certain mines, which is a very complicated system that will easily be a Guide Dang It!. If you are unlucky, this can take well over a year. Even if you're lucky, you might take 2-5 months or so. Also, this is a Luck-Based Mission. You cannot tell if the space is a gem you have, a gem you don't have, or slag. You have to blindly mine.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: This is the general opinion of the fans regarding the site update in July 2015. Your pets will occasionally make requests to buy a certain item or go to a certain location or do some activity, and a time limit keeps counting down until you finally comply to their request. If you don't fulfill their request in about five minutes, they say something obnoxious to make you feel guilty and their needs drain.

    • Not to mention the fact that the happiness, hunger, and energy bars drain faster now, thus forcing you to spend more time and money on your pet than ever.
